STATE
STREET CORPORATION
With more than $9.4
trillion in assets under custody and in excess of $1.1 trillion under management,
State Street Corporation
is a world leader in financial services.
To provide equal opportunity to all employees and expand diversity
in the organization, State Street engaged CDT to build a comprehensive
career management program.
The system we implemented with State Street includes:
- Training employees in effective
career management and the use of the online tool, DevelopmentWorks®.
- Training managers to coach and support their employees in career
management.
- Providing a Train-the-Trainer program for State Street in-house delivery
of both workshops.
- Providing a site license for DevelopmentWorks® for State Street
employees world-wide.
To date,
more than 20,000 State Street employees have access to DevelopmentWorks®.
The organization continues to roll out the workshops across the
United States and in many of their overseas
facilities.

SCHLUMBERGER
Schlumberger Limited is the world's leading oilfield
services company supplying technology, project management and information
solutions that optimize performance for customers working in the international
oil and gas industry.
Because Schlumberger employees work in small groups around the world,
the
company sought an online solution to providing
high quality career management
training
to employees everywhere. The process begins
when employees request a Career Orientation Review (COR) with their
managers. In order to schedule
the
review,
they have
to
complete
our Internet-based CareerPortrait® assessment,
which has been customized to include recommended company positions
appropriate to the individual's style as part of the assessment results. CareerPortrait® is
available to all 60,000 Schlumberger employees. TOP
THE
DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY
Dow is a leader in science and technology, providing
innovative chemical, plastic and agricultural products and services to
many essential consumer markets. With annual sales of $33 billion, Dow
serves customers in more than 180 countries and a wide range of markets
that are vital to human progress, including food, transportation, health
and medicine, personal and home care, and building and construction,
among others.
To support the Dow "People Success" program, CDT:
- Wrote the Trainer's Guide and participant materials for a highly
customized one-day workshop "Managing Your Career With Power."
- Supervised the translation of all materials into French, German,
Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch.
- Provided camera-ready copy of all materials for Dow printing services
in multiple languages.
- Trained Dow trainers in the delivery of the program in North and
South America, Europe, and the Far East.
- Licensed the program for 10,000 employees.
- Extended the license to the use of DevelopmentWorks® on the Web
for employees who could not attend workshops.

HERSHEY
CORPORATION
Hershey is
the leading North American manufacturer of quality chocolate and non-chocolate
confectionery and
chocolate-related grocery products, and has a variety of international
operations.
Due to a major market shift with the accompanying need for a change
in the size and structure of the organization, Hershey brought in a
new CEO from outside
the "family." Employees were offered the opportunity to select an "early
out" or to take responsibility for finding an appropriate career within
the new organization. To support this effort, CDT:
- Provided career management training to a large proportion of Hershey
employees.
- Trained Hershey managers to coach their employees toward job and
career growth.
- Provided individual coaching to selected managers.
The program has been credited with assisting in a successful
shift in the Hershey organizational culture toward a more responsible,
self-reliant, and contributive work force.
